Looking forward to Fancourt

Although I may just have come back from an incredible 10 day trip overseas, it wasn’t with my kids… While some might say “what bliss”, others will understand that I actually really missed sharing the exciting experience and making memories with them… I love traveling with my kids and introducing them to new places and people.

And this is why I’m really excited about our next trip: A Family Holiday to Fancourt

Fancourt is a world-renowned a golfing estate located just outside George on the beautiful Garden Route. We’re no golfers so you might be wondering why we’re heading there for a holiday…

Well, that is exactly why we are going! We’re heading to Fancourt to find out all that it offers, aside from golf!

I’ve watched a few of their YouTube videos and I’ve definitely got my eye on spending some quiet time in the incredible spa facilities, sampling the delicious food from their array of restaurants and exploring the estate on the back of a Segway or mountain bike.

And when we’ve all had a bit too much of each other (which definitely can happen on holiday!) there looks like there is lots to keep my kids happy at the Kidz Club…

Facilities for kids include:

  • Indoor, heated swimming pool
  • Fully-fenced outdoor jungle gym
  • Big-screen cinema
  • Tennis courts
  • Bicycles
  • Golf Academy – lessons are provided for children from age 7

I think my son will be pleased to hear that there’s also a Teen Lounge equipped with table tennis, table football and a pool table (his favourite) as well as gaming facilities (although I’m sure there won’t be time for that!)

Sounds like there’ll be plenty of time for me to hang out here… BLISS!

Keep your eyes on my social media in mid-July to find out more about what we get up to, and, of course, I’ll be sharing more about our trip in the weeks following our return right here on my blog.

Have you been to Fancourt? What did you love most?

We’ll also be spending some time discovering the George region – a part of the Garden Route we usually drive straight past – so if you have any tips on fun things to do with kids in George and surrounds please do leave a comment below!
